Pour the mixed product over the floor. Hardonate SLF will level out to a smooth finish. Where necessary, release air bubbles with a trowel or spiked roller. This practice must be carried out within 5 – 10 minutes of application. The minimum topping thickness of Hardonate SLF should not be less than 3 mm or more than 20 mm If required steel trowelling may be carried out about 60 to 70 minutes after the placement of Hardonate SLF. The floor is ready for foot traffic after 6 – 8 hours. Tiles, epoxy coatings or other floor coverings, if desired, can be installed after 24 – 48 hours depending on thickness of topping, temperature and site conditions.
Hardonate SLF is recommended for industrial floors and for areas where a durable smooth and level surface is required. It is suitable for use in Textile mills, Jute mills, Pharmaceutical and Chemical plants, Cement and Tobacco factories, Ware houses, Railway Stations, Sports Facilities, Super Markets, Parking areas, Workshops, Airports, Refineries, Power stations etc.
DIRECTION FOR USE
Hardonate SLF should always be laid over sound, thoroughly clean concrete or screed. Heavily trafficked areas should be mechanically prepared to provide a suitable mechanical key. All debris must be removed to provide a dry, dust free open textured surface free from aitance, dirt, dust, grease and other contaminants.
For properly prepared substrates a primer is generally not required but for Heavy Duty toppings and for heavily trafficked areas a primer coat prepared by mixing 2parts OPC cement with 1 part MITCHBOND SBR may be applied by brush immediately prior to the laying of Hardonate SLF topping. The Hardonate SLF topping should always be laid over wet prime coat, if found dry a fresh coat of prime coat be applied.
In a clean container, add 4.75-5.25L of clean water per 25kg bag (sufficient to achieve target flow without bleed or settlement). Mix with heavy duty drill and paddle for 1-2 mintues or with a suitable mixer/pump. Excess water will cause a loss of strength.
No water curing is required for Hardonate SLF. Protect the surface from rain, moisture and humid air for the first three days so that it dries out completely.
